Protextension is a Chrome extension that monitors visited websites for security threats using local heuristics and cloud-based threat intelligence from VirusTotal. It displays visual warnings for dangerous sites, provides a dashboard for managing tabs, and tracks duplicate tab usage across domains.
People browsing the web often land on dangerous websites—phishing pages that steal passwords, fake shopping sites that take money without delivering goods, or malware distributors disguised as legitimate downloads.
